We are in the heart of Kentucky within riding distance of the vast and sprawling  Daniel Boone National Forrest.   This National State Park has so many features suitable for all visitors to the area.  Some features of the area include approximately, ninety five miles of groomed and maintained horse trails, and Cave Run Lake which features boating, water sports and attracting fishing enthusiast from around the country.

  • Ride starts @ 10:00 a.m. Saturday, July 13, 2019.  Registration closes @ 9:00 a.m. (Coggins Papers and Horses will be checked upon arrival.)  (No Coggins-No Ride)
  • All riders should be saddled and ready to leave out by 10:00 a.m. *Riders please pack your own lunch & drinks for on the trail. 
  • Bring your lawn chairs.
  • Highlights of our day include : Introduction to our all new
    Equine Obstacle Course. Benefits of Obstacle challenges can help your horse learn how to handle pressure in new situations and how obstacles help build your horses confidence as well as enhancing your  communication with your horse. 
  • We will serve a baked Spaghetti dinner, salad, garlic toast, drink and ice cream to top off the meal Saturday evening.
  • Hot Breakfast on Sunday morning for anyone wanting to stay and go for a short ride on Sunday morning. 
  • Pre-Registration required to ensure we have enough food for everyone attending. 
  • Ride Fee will be $35.00 per rider & is all inclusive. 
  • A campfire and open Microphone night session will be held Saturday Evening. If you  would like to showcase your talent please contact me we would love to hear from you ..we can accommodate electric or acoustic
    Guitars and vocals. 
  • Ride proceeds will be used for more upgrades to the stables which will be hot and cold running water in the barn and completing the shower room with all amenities.

*No Alcohol on the trail while riding please let's keep this a fun and safe environment for all riders and their horses .

If you consume in evening  please do so responsibly, drunken disorderly behavior will not be tolerated!!

We offer short term or long term boarding and overnight stabling. With long term boarding, the Equine Obstacle Course will be included.  

We have immediate openings for 1 or 2 horses for full care board.  Riding distance of the Sheltowanee Trail, Salt Lick, KY.  Just around the corner from White Sulfur Horse Camp and Rudy's Ranch.


  • Travelers - Short term lodging for your horse.
  • Stalls & Grass Paddocks available.
  • (6 )  11 x 11  stalls in Horse Barn. 
  • Limited 30 amp. Hookup for over night.
  • Shavings available to purchase.

EQUINE OBSTACLE COURSE | NEW IN JUNE 2019

Whatever your reason Equine Obstacle Courses are becoming a fast and popular sport among riders from all walks of equine disciplines. A great way to showcase your trail horses skill level and trustworthiness on the trail.


  • A fun way to challenge your trail horse or challenge yourself. 
  • Have a young horse that needs exposure? 
  • Excellent way to train and desensitize.
  • Improve communication with your horse.
  • Build your horse’s confidence.


We practice Natural Horsemanship training and Judge with the Equine Trail Sport Association.  You can rest assured that you will receive the best of proven basic skills that can build a solid foundation and enhance your relationship with your Equine partner.

Sheila's passion for horses was instilled at a very young age and she has continued to follow that love of the equine species throughout her lifetime. From showing Western Pleasure and Halter shows to riding hundreds of miles exploring the Canadian and American Equestrian Trails.   She participated in various Rodeo events and driving cattle.  Horses have always been a big part of her life!   She offers these other services.


  • Horsemanship Basics is designed to help the  new horse owner. Participant(s) will work with real horses to acquire  the skill sets needed to gain the confidence that they will need,  in order to help build a good partnership with their new equine partner.  Contact us for more information
  • Cowboy Camp Workshop may be more of your liking she also offers this service.  Various demo camp areas are utilized , setup and explored .., Experienced wrangler will guide you in the finer points of a safe and enjoyable camp for both you and your horse. Gain the confidence before you go..and become the fair and good leader your horse wants you to be.  Rest Assured your Wrangler has trained and certified in wilderness outfitting, and been an avid horseman for 40+ yrs.   NOTICE: All Boarders require a Negative Coggins Test Required. The Kentucky Department of Agriculture requires a negative Coggins or similar test for equine infectious anemia and a valid certificate of veterinary inspection. KRS 257; KAR 302 20 .040, .065.
